We are thrilled to share the exciting news of Bassett House’s new Headteacher, to succeed Mrs Cawthorne when she steps down to focus on building a portfolio career in education.
Following a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process, the panel was unanimous in selecting Mrs Kelly Gray – currently Deputy Head at Ecole Jacques Prevert, an international and highly-bilingual school in Brook Green – as the next Headteacher of Bassett House. Mrs Gray will be joining BHS after the summer bank holiday for a thorough handover period and start as Headteacher in September 2021.
With many years’ experience leading London prep schools – including seven years at Thomas’s Kensington in a variety of roles – Mrs Gray’s demonstrable understanding of the unique character of Bassett House, and her commitment to nurturing its special, family feel, shone through. Her focus on pastoral care, underpinned by her strong educational principles, make her an excellent next leader for the school.
Under Mrs Cawthorne, Bassett House has developed an outstanding reputation for delivering an individualised education to its pupils, where every child is nurtured and able to flourish. With her dedication to providing an inclusive, safe and welcoming environment, Mrs Gray shares these ideals and will continue to foster a happy and thriving community at Bassett House.
