Last week, Poetry Together founder Gyles Brandreth hosted a virtual poetry tea party for Bear’s House Nursery and Hastings Court Care Home.

Poetry Together was founded last year by Gyles and Dukes Education and encourages schools and care homes to partner up, pick a favourite poem, and come together to recite it over tea and cake.

While last year over 200 schools and care homes registered to meet up and share their poems, this year, everyone needs to adapt a little. Gyles got together with daynurseries.co.uk and carehome.co.uk to organise a virtual poetry party. Children and care home residents performed Incy Wincy Spider to much delight, and everyone had a fabulous time.
