International School of Athens

The ISA community values human relationships, cultural diversity, and positive interactions among its members, contributing to a strong ‘sense of family’ and fostering lasting friendships and camaraderie. Adhering to the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) philosophy, ISA aims to develop the individual talents of young people, teaching them to relate classroom experiences to real-world situations. Beyond intellectual rigour and high academic standards, the school emphasises international understanding and responsible citizenship.

This approach enables ISA students to become critical and compassionate thinkers, lifelong learners, and informed participants in both local and global affairs. They are conscious of the shared humanity that unites all people while respecting the cultural diversity that enriches life.

About
International School of Athens

The International School of Athens (ISA) is a unique educational institution dedicated to nurturing students to achieve their full potential through the support of teachers, counsellors, and administrators. The school is an IB continuum school, divided into three distinct divisions: Melina’s Kindergarten, the Primary School, and the Secondary School (Middle and High). Each division has its own identity and personality, but they all share common curriculum goals, ensuring a balanced and complementary program of studies with smooth transitions between divisions.

ISA offers an international education with a global perspective, grounded in the principle of non-discrimination. The school’s open and unbiased admissions policy reflects a deep belief in the potential of every child. In the ideal environment, every child can achieve excellence in education. This belief fosters personal growth, making the school special and embodying the essence of educational excellence. Despite their diverse abilities, backgrounds, and beliefs, ISA students graduate as principled, well-rounded individuals who practice critical thinking, compassion, and tolerance throughout their lives, emerging as world citizens. This accomplishment is a source of immense pride for the school community.

Verita International School

For the last 10 years, Verita has truly felt like home to me.

And it’s also home to these amazing children, students and families who entrusted us with their educational and personal journeys of discovery and growth. We are honoured and deeply responsible for their trust in us.

For me, this journey started over 12 years ago with a volunteering project for sick children in hospitals and it became an incredibly meaningful and passionate journey to create an educational community where our children can grow and develop a love for learning and a genuine love for who they truly are. Our belief here at Verita is that the core of who we are, is kindness.

We want our students to learn and have great academic results, to go out in the world and create magnificent things. And we also want them to be kind, compassionate human beings who make responsible decisions and build healthy relationships. Balanced adults who have resilience, motivation, grit and can navigate in a mindful way the inevitable hardship that life sometimes brings about.

And that’s why at Verita we look at the whole learner.

What’s really driving a child’s behaviour? How do children develop and learn? These are questions we keep asking ourselves as we are also still learning.

In today’s world we are all interconnected. The challenges we face and that our children will face in the future, require cooperation, compassion, grit, and creativity.

We acknowledge this here in Verita and my mission as Head of School, as a mother and, ultimately, as a human being, will always be to uphold these values within our community and to model our mission of putting kindness first in everything we do in a dynamic and authentic way.

About
Verita International School

Our approach to curriculum makes standards come alive for students by connecting learning to real-world issues and needs. Verita ensures that all students meet rigorous curriculum objectives and standards while in parallel providing exciting learning opportunities. Units of learning, real-life case studies, projects, fieldwork, and service-learning inspire students to think and work as professionals do, contributing high-quality work that is presented to audiences beyond the classroom.

We believe that through enquiry, active learning, and the development of emotional intelligence in a safe environment, all students are capable of mastery of knowledge, skills and understanding.

We feel it’s vital that students see and value learning as a dynamic process where they are constantly making connections and moving on to the next step. If students are challenged by the next step and empowered to set realistic goals, they will continue to move on with greater enthusiasm and wonder.

We also understand that we as adults teach them by modelling these values. Therefore, we focus not only on the professional but also personal development of our staff as ultimately, we teach who we are.

Our teachers and staff are like a second family for our students. We share the same home, which is our campus, and for many hours a day, we come together striving to best serve our children. And just as in any family, how we show up matters. We take care of our students also by taking care of our teachers and staff. Their wellbeing is an indicator of how well we can teach our students.

From Mr. Doru, our guard who is always smiling at the entrance gate, to our kitchen and cleaning staff and all our teachers and teaching assistants, feeling safe, seen and heard is a priority. Having a sense of belonging and knowing there is always someone here to reach out to if you need any kind of support is intentional and a constant focus and effort in the Senior Leadership Team.

They say home is where your heart is. We say Verita is a place to grow hearts and minds and we are very proud to continue this work serving our families and students in the years to come. Welcome to Verita, welcome home!

Bambíno

Bambíno is an international nursery and kindergarten welcoming children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. It’s a place where young minds can flourish within our unique educational programme: “Big Things for Little People“. A system that teaches all the necessary practical skills a growing child will need throughout their life. The main goal is to create an environment where the children can better explore opportunities on their own. By experiencing lessons with all their senses, they gain understanding and know-how, and can then apply this to their education as they mature.

Specially designed spaces at both school branches are located on the premises of a grand villa with a garden. Here a playground and dedicated zones allow the children to enjoy a wide variety of activities from nurturing plants and animals to cooking in our child-friendly kitchen. Children make ceramics, develop their musical abilities, participate in sports outside and inside the school gym, as well as work with digital educational technologies.

Over the years we have honed our particular teaching programme to find new ways of educating, motivating and inspiring the very youngest to the slightly older students.

We are a kindergarten that cares for the children as if they were our own.

Enjoying their progress with smiles and hugs, we strive to discover each child’s potential and develop towards it. Children enjoy learning together, playing together, and experimenting together. We support and love each other; however we also explain and set boundaries together. All this means when we develop children, we also develop ourselves.

We strive for all children to reach the same level of progress. Fundamentally, our students grow intellectually, as well as emotionally, gaining all the skills they will require as individuals.

We pride ourselves on our international credentials, having created an environment where many cultures, languages and customs meet. Therefore, we prepare our programmes to allow each child to learn about diversity, multiculturalism, mutual respect and to be inspired by their peers. Often inviting outside experts (including parents and relatives) into our school to help with our projects.

I am excited to welcome you to our Bambíno world. We are full of joy, kindness and wonderful people who do what they love the most – caring for our little ones.

Pippa Pop-ins Nursery Schools

A Pippa Pop-ins House is a magical environment where children learn to be kind, independent and develop friendships. We aim for the children to understand feelings, respect for one another and have the opportunity to develop both holistically and academically. We place a great emphasis on individuality, creativity and self-expression.

We follow traditional standards with contemporary concepts and have created a curriculum which includes both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Montessori elements.  We believe in the importance of laying the foundations for good manners, cultural diversity, knowledge and sociability.

IEP Group

IEP’s mission is that all students participate in a stimulating, rich and challenging curriculum that provides them with opportunities to reach their unique potential and through this new partnership with Dukes Education we will be even better equipped to make that mission a reality.

We started our adventure in Spain at the end of 2016, with the partial acquisition of 3 schools in the Valencian community; subsequently, IEP was founded in May 2018 with the objective of becoming a major provider within the Spanish private schools market. Despite the COVID pandemic, we have managed to grow to a group of 7 schools,  employing 450 teachers and educating 4,800 students from 1 to 18 years old. This partnership will enable us to begin the next phase of our development, still under the IEP name and IEP has the honour of being the first schools group in Spain to join the Dukes Education family.

IEP and Dukes have a common set of values, vision and purpose, and we are excited by the tremendous potential this agreement offers IEP staff and students as we benefit from Dukes world-class people, reputation and infrastructure. Students at IEP will benefit from Dukes international exchange and summer camp opportunities, as well as different sport competitions and other exciting and engaging extra-curricular activities. IEP students will also benefit from more world-class career coaching, internship and university counselling, and will be able to confidently apply to any university world-wide through the Dukes platforms.

Notting Hill Prep School

I feel very privileged to be the Head of this wonderful school. NHP has quickly built a reputation as one of the leading prep schools in central London thanks to a combination of dynamic teaching, excellent academic results and a firm commitment to protect the joy of childhood.

I strongly believe that children thrive when they feel safe and happy. At NHP (affectionately re-named by the children as No Happier Place) we work hard to create a nurturing environment where our pupils’ views are respected and encouraged. Kindness and courtesy are key themes and we focus on the children’s ability to co-operate, to think collaboratively and to show consideration for the needs of others.

We are proud of our reputation as an advanced accredited Thinking School and through our Learning Habits and school values, we ensure that NHP pupils develop key life skills alongside academic ones. The children leave us with a problem-solving attitude and a toolkit on which to draw. They are confident, articulate, resourceful, resilient, independent and more than ready to face the next stage of their education.

It is a given that our pupils will move on to some of the leading schools in the country, but what is important for us is that they move on to the right school for them. That is the one which will allow them to flourish and build on the strong foundations that they have established here at NHP.

I hope that you have time to browse our website and see more of what makes our school so special and what makes an NHP pupil stand out from the crowd. Of course, the best way to get a feel for us is to come and visit and I look forward to welcoming you to our ‘hidden gem’ in the heart of Notting Hill.

About
Notting Hill Prep School

As you enter the doors of NHP, there is something uniquely special about the place. The school’s ethos of ‘academic rigour + the joy of childhood’ is embedded within everything it does – a balancing act that is fiercely protected by the staff and celebrated by the parents.

Whilst there is a real sense of academic focus as the children are challenged by specialist subject teaching, there is also joy to be had in learning and their experiences of school life.

The only advanced accredited prep Thinking School currently in England, the NHP approach to learning enables teachers, pupils and parents to have a deep understanding of how to learn and think effectively to prepare them for future life. Pupils are nurtured and encouraged to have a go, to celebrate marvellous mistakes and to think creatively and outside the box.A hub of creativity, music and the performing arts are the cornerstones of NHP life.  With music, drama and P4C being taught from Reception to Year 8, the children develop their self-confidence, collaborate creatively and reflect on work that they and their peers have produced.

Pastoral Care is intertwined across every aspect of school life. We have a comprehensive well-being programme which timetables pastoral activities into the school day to safeguard the children’s mental health and preserve the joy of childhood. The school has built strong links with some of the UK’s top senior schools both in London and further afield and places great emphasis on finding the right next school where each child will thrive and flourish.

Community Links

A core founding pillar of NHP is that we will continually strive to strengthen the close relationship between the school and the diverse local community in which we are situated.
