Sebastian Hepher was educated at Alleyn’s School, Dulwich and then qualified as a teacher in 1989, with B.Ed (Hons). He began teaching within secondary education in the maintained sector, teaching at Hurstmere Boys School, Sidcup, Kent and subsequently The London Nautical School, in central London.
Sebastian then moved into the Independent Sector. He joined Eaton House Pre-Prep School in 1990 before being asked to lead the new Prep School, Eaton House The Manor, in 1993. He led and grew this school from its embryonic phase, to where it is today – one of the leading prep schools in the country. In 2010, Sebastian joined Eaton Square School and the school has grown significantly since then. The pupils now follow a more academically rigorous and stimulating curriculum, whilst at the same time having wonderful opportunities through the extra-curricular provision.
Sebastian has taken on the role of Principal and oversees both the Prep and the new Upper School, Eaton Square Mayfair, which opened in September 2017.
Sebastian is a Council member of IAPS and is Chair of the 1S IAPS London District. He is also a Governor of Roedean Girls School and a member of the Colet Court Group of Heads, the West London Heads Group, and COBIS.
