Mark joined Earlscliffe in September 2024. He previously gained considerable leadership experience as a Principal of independent sixth form colleges in London and Oxford from 2005 to 2024. A teacher of A-level Economics and A-level Business, Mark’s thirty-four year career in education has seen him fulfil the roles of Teacher, Personal Tutor, Student Council Manager, Marketing Officer, Senior Tutor, Vice Principal and Governor.
A passionate believer in the transformational power of schools that educate students from across the world, Mark creates and nurtures school communities that support and encourage young people to learn from one another; in doing so they gain an understanding and appreciation of their varying nations, cultures and societies. As he reminds his students at the start of every academic year, it is they, the young adults of today who can give all of us optimism for our collective future.
Mark is looking forward to further enhancing and developing Earlscliffe; a modern, forward looking independent sixth form school in a traditional setting.
