Leading independent education provider, Dukes Education, has further expanded its fast-growing family of schools with Colégio Luso Internacional de Braga (CLIB).
CLIB is a co-educational school that was founded in 1999 and now serves more than 370 students from age 3 to 18 years old. CLIB complements Dukes Education’s three existing schools in Portugal, located in Lisbon and Porto, and adds to Dukes existing presence in the UK, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Spain and Switzerland.
The partnership with Dukes Education opens up an array of benefits for CLIB’s community that includes access to a global talent pool of exceptional educators, opportunities for student and teacher exchanges, and a platform for sharing best practice on an international scale. The collaboration offers CLIB students and staff unprecedented learning and development opportunities.
CLIB’s leadership and operational frameworks remain unchanged and co-founder, Helena Pina Vaz remains as the school’s Head and a pivotal figure in ensuring CLIB’s welcoming, family atmosphere and strong community are preserved and enhanced in the coming years.
Founder and Chairman of Dukes Education, Aatif Hassan, whose passion for the transformational power of education, and whose commitment to educational quality and student wellbeing is at the heart of the Dukes Education ethos, said: “CLIB’s mission is to prepare students from intercultural and multilingual backgrounds for the future, a mission that accords strongly with Dukes Education, the organisation I founded ten years ago. The warmth of the school community together with the strong focus on high academic standards and concern for the emotional, physical and social needs of students make it an excellent fit with our other schools in Portugal and the wider Dukes family. We extend a very warm welcome to the parents, students and staff of CLIB.”
Founder of CLIB, Helena Pina Vaz, said, “Joining this prestigious educational group is a very significant moment for CLIB and our partnership marks a significant step forward in our mission to continually elevate the quality of education we offer to the Portuguese and international community of Braga. We look forward to the positive changes this will bring to our students’ educational experiences.”
