Corgis were a popular choice when Dukes Education pupils created tributes to Her Majesty The Queen during the official 10 days of mourning.
Pupils at Pointers school created a beautiful collage of The Queen’s favourite corgis on their school gates. At Knightsbridge School, the Lions class nursery pupils coloured in corgis, a Reception class coloured in crowns and some Y5 pupils created a repeated motif of the Queen’s head with some of her finest attributes listed. All of these artworks became part of a digital condolence books filled with drawings, poems, photos and messages for the school community to reflect on in years to come.
Northcote pupils tied ribbons of remembrance to their school gates and Broomwood Hall Upper School created a beautiful Union Jack flag for their school gates. They also created a book of condolence which the girls signed, expressing their admiration and gratitude to the Queen.
All across Dukes schools, special assemblies were held and The Queen was remembered with huge affection, love and respect.
