The Little Dukes Training Academy launched this week. This is an exciting new initiative from Dukes Education reinforcing its commitment to providing an extraordinary Early Years education to every child in its care.
Opening in September this year, the Little Dukes Training Academy (LDTA) will offer a range of Early Years training courses with Montessori Centre International and Reach4Skills. Three Montessori courses will be delivered in partnership with the Montessori Centre International (MCI) – including the first UK offering to train in a Certificate in Integrating Montessori Practice Infant Specialism (0-3 years). And there will be five Early Years apprenticeship qualifications on offer in partnership with Reach4Skills, an innovative training provider that delivers blended-learning courses tailored to the individual.
All the courses will be managed and run at the LDTA premises in south-west London. Aimee Kimbell, currently Principal of Riverside Nurseries will also take on the role of Principal of the LDTA.
Aimee Kimbell, the new Principal of Little Dukes Training Academy, said:
“We want to attract and train the very best people at the LDTA. We want to foster and encourage educators who will establish a golden standard of Early Years education, not just within the Dukes family but across the whole sector. The LDTA is our way of establishing excellence in Early Years education; by training our educators ourselves, we not only ensure that we have the very best staff, but we are also securing the recruitment process for our Early Years settings. We want to be sure that we have the best nurseries, not just now but in future years.
I know how important an Early Years education is. I have seen first-hand how children flourish and grow in the right surroundings, and with the right support. The foundations of a healthy, happy adult are laid in our nursery classrooms; their future – and our future – will be shaped by what we do today. We have the power to make that difference.”
