Lila has a long, passionate history with the development and growth of the school and of its nonprofit organisation, Verita Foundation. She is an authentic example of the values, mission and vision of Verita and a vibrant advocate of keeping Verita true to its word and promise. For years, she has been a pivotal bridge builder and support for the community of parents, teachers and students.
As co-founder of our NGO, Verita Foundation, Lila launched CERC – Compassion in Education Resource Center in 2020, a resource platform for social-emotional and ethical learning which is intended to share the school’s valuable SEL knowledge, results and resources with educators in the Romanian public educational system. Over the last four years, over 2,000 public school teachers both in Romania and internationally have been trained.
Within Verita, Lila has played several teaching and administrative roles starting with SEL teacher in both Primary and Secondary division, the school SEL Director within the Senior Leadership Team and finally, Head of School.
With a background in business and communication, Lila is also in the process of finishing the Harvard Certificate in School Management and Leadership (CSML).
Lila is a life-long mindfulness practitioner with a Mindfulness teacher certification from the Greater Good Science Center at University of California, Berkeley.
She has a Social Emotional and Character Development certification from Rutgers University and a Mindfulness Teaching certification from Mindful Schools in the USA.
Lila is also certified by Emory University as a Level 2 SEEL (Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning) facilitator.
As a mother, Lila strongly believes in the power of compassion, trusting people’s ability to find inner balance and the joy of living and wishes to contribute, through education, to a kinder, more compassionate world for children and for us all.
