After completing a music degree at Anglia Ruskin University, Tania Virdie continued her studies at Homerton College, University of Cambridge, completing a PGCE in Primary Education.
Tania’s primary teaching career started in Norfolk and four years later, she moved to London, teaching for a further eleven years in two contrasting settings, taking on further responsibility including year group leader roles and teaching music across the school. In 2008, Tania became Assistant Head of a three-form entry Junior School, before relocating to Cheshire as Deputy Head of a primary school in 2012. Here, Tania taught Year 5 and 6, was responsible for the curriculum, teaching and learning and the arts, three areas that she is passionate about.
Tania joined JK Educate as Head of Schools in January 2017, a role that enabled her to work closely with parents, assessing children’s potential, recommending possible schools, supporting with the entrance exam requirements, recommending resources and ensuring that students were fully supported throughout the journey.
Tania is thrilled to be appointed as Head of JK Educate. She believes in empowering young people through education, to flourish and thrive in life, and reach their full potential. Tania continues to support the JK legacy of excellence in achievement, high quality teaching and caring support for students and their families. Tania shares the vision that every child should be given the opportunity and encouragement to achieve to the very best of their ability and potential.
