The Acorn Nursery was founded in 1977 and is housed in a large Victorian property overlooking the church and grounds of St John’s.

We have been located in the Notting Hill area for many years and moved to our current premises in 1992. The nursery occupies the former parish rooms on the ground and basement floors. We have two large classrooms, two smaller teaching rooms and a private outside space bordering the beautiful Lansdowne Crescent communal gardens, which gives us the opportunity to venture outside to play and spend time in the fresh air.

The Kindergartens is a group of nursery schools in central London which have been educating children aged up to 5 years for over 28 years. The Kindergartens are managed by Principal Natalie Atkins.

A passion for education and the happiness of the children in our care are at the heart of The Kindergartens. The curriculum is broadly based and encourages a wide range of interests and subjects which are integrated and child-centred.

Each session is planned to allow a child to explore all areas of the pre-school curriculum and prepare them for their future schooling.

Children are allocated to a group teacher. They follow a programme which leads them to work and explore individually and within a group.

At Hopes and Dreams Montessori Nursery School, exploring independently is considered an important part of learning.

Miss Daisy’s Nursery Schools were founded by Daisy Harrison with the aim to create a village nursery school in the heart of London where the education offered a balance between formal learning and learning through play. The nurseries were founded on strong principals where the child was at the centre of every decision, and standards were exceptionally high.

Miss Daisy’s joined Dukes Education in 2018 and still offers a strong sense of community as well as a warm and nurturing environment for both children and their parents. From the day a new child starts at Miss Daisy’s, the school is geared up towards gentle preparation for the next step. Key to the ethos at Miss Daisy’s is that the children actively lead their own development with no pressure on them in any way.
