Returning to the Dukes Education family of schools, Ross Montague’s leadership at Eaton House Belgravia signifies a rewarding moment in his career. Ross left Dukes Education to take on his first headship at Hampstead Hill School and now returns as the Headmaster at Eaton House Belgravia, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a renewed vision for excellence and high performance in education.
Previously a professional footballer with Brentford FC and AFC Wimbledon, Ross’ sporting career was prematurely ended due to injury. His experiences have developed a deep understanding of the value of resilience, which he actively fosters in both the school’s culture and in the personal development of his pupils.
Ross holds a BA Hons in Primary Education from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and an MBA in Educational Leadership. Ross developed his passion for teaching at a Dukes Education school, Broomfield House School. His teaching experience spans the breadth of prep schools, from EYFS to KS1 and KS2, including roles as a Teaching Assistant, Class Teacher, Computing Teacher, Head of Sport and Assistant Head.
Ross’ tenure in diverse, inclusive and high-achieving environments has equipped him with an expert understanding of entrance exam preparation. He believes in the holistic development of each child, integrating innovative teaching methods to complement traditional teaching values which is informed by a strong and established teaching pedagogy and hierarchy of needs. His approach is personalised and granular, focusing on the unique needs of each pupil, as well as fostering strong collaborations with teachers and parents.
