Alison Fleming has over 25 years’ experience as a school leader in the UK’s independent education sector, spanning senior leadership, curriculum development, and governance.
Appointed Principal of Eaton House Schools in September 2025, Alison was previously Head of Newton Prep for over a decade where she shaped the strategic vision, drove academic excellence, and created a positive school culture that inspired both staff and pupils. Alison is skilled at building highly effective teams and fostering strong relationships with parents, governors, and senior leadership teams.
Alison began her teaching career in Hampshire before moving to London where she was Deputy Principal of Highgate Junior School and Head of Dulwich College Junior School before joining Newton Prep.
Alison holds an MA in Management and Professional Studies in Education from the University of Southampton and NPQH. She is an experienced school governor and was a Team Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate from 2000 to 2018.
