Ryan Edwards is the Experiences Director at Dukes Plus. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cardiff University before going on to study Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Newcastle University Business School, graduating in 2016.
Ryan began working in summer schools in summer 2009, returning seasonally until 2015. During this period, he also taught at residential camps in Spain and project directed an educational and sports development children’s charity in Accra, Ghana.
In 2015, Ryan moved into full-time operations, progressing from a seasonal Programme Manager role to UK and Ireland Operations Manager at Embassy Summer. Following the pandemic, he joined Bede’s as Director of Summer School, helping to rebuild the business, add new locations and develop innovative programmes, before joining Dukes as Experiences Director in early 2025.
Ryan is passionate about creating student-centred experiences that build confidence, independence, ambition, and preparation for future success. He is particularly interested in helping young people connect their interests and talents with future study and career pathways, while discovering what they are capable of beyond the classroom.
