Amy Cavilla joins Radnor House School in September 2024 from Nonsuch High School for Girls in Cheam where she has been Headteacher since 2016.
Amy attended Godolphin and Latymer School, holds a BA in Modern Languages and PGCE from Leeds University, and Diploma in Education from the University of Oxford. She began her career teaching French and Spanish before progressing to the role of Deputy Head at The Tiffin Girls’ School. She was appointed Headteacher at Nonsuch High School in 2016 and under her leadership, the school has grown in numbers and in achievement and has the highest GCSE progress value of all the schools in the area. Amy implemented a well-being strategy that underpins the school, and her deep understanding of pastoral care is exemplary.
Amy is strongly connected to Twickenham having lived and worked in the local area and her two children attend local schools. As a result, she is very well versed in the educational landscape and the specific local opportunities.
Among Amy’s strengths are her excellent communications skills, ability to manage complex, fast-moving situations, and personal integrity. Amy is passionate about bringing out the very best in all students and is committed to the values-led education that makes Radnor House so special. With her warm and positive manner, she is the right person to care for the Radnor House community through the transition to Kneller Hall.
