Devi Sahny is the CEO and Founder of two ed-tech companies, The Edge and Ascend Now. She is on a mission to democratise entrepreneurship and life skills education for students aged 6–18. Her work focuses on helping students become future-ready by supporting schools with high-quality life skills curricula, and she has partnered with more than 120 schools to date.
Prior to founding her businesses eight years ago, Devi worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, where she spent three years in the M&A group. She currently serves on the boards of governors of several international schools and sits on the boards of Georgetown University’s Baratta Center for Global Business (founded by Joe Baratta), the Moh Foundation in Singapore, and AIGS, the world’s largest gemmological school. She is also a member of Dukes Education’s Global Education Advisory Board.
Devi has been recognised as a Forbes 30 Under 30, NBC Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs, and Prestige 40 Under 40, and is the recipient of the prestigious Sequoia Capital Spark Fellow innovator award. She is a TEDx speaker, having spoken on the importance of giving students greater autonomy and a voice in their learning, and is a St Gallen Symposium Leader of Tomorrow.
