Katie has an excellent understanding of how to assess a child’s ability and ensure they have the best possible educational journey.
With twenty years’ experience teaching in London primary schools, Katie was a class teacher, year group leader, teacher governor and a member of school senior management teams. She also worked with secondary schools to help with that transition, and acted as an Assessment Co-ordinator and special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO).
Katie has a degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. She also has the OCR Level 5 Certificate for teachers of learners with Specific Learning Difficulties, including Dyslexia. In 2006 she had two collections of plays published by Hopscotch for use in primary schools, and went on to write her book Teach Yourself Getting Your Child into Secondary School, published by Hodder in 2009.
