Lucy Crehan is an international education consultant, specialising in comparative education policy. She began her career in teaching, followed by a journey around the world, visiting schools and staying with teachers in six of the world’s high-performing education systems. This culminated in her book, Cleverlands, which was one of the Economist’s ‘Books of the year’. Since then, she has worked with governments around the world advising on teacher policy and curriculum policy. Most recently, she conducted the independent review of the curriculum in Northern Ireland. Lucy is an Associate Advisor for Curriculum at Swansea University, and International Director at the Centre for Education Systems.
