Magdalena was promoted to head of Bambíno Kindergarten in 2023, but has been an integral part of the school since joining in 2012 as a form teacher for 3 and 4-year-olds. More recently Magda has been an important part of refining the educational philosophy of Bambíno, establishing new lesson practices and structures for the preschool along with helping to implement a variety of projects over multiple themes.
As a long-standing school coordinator, she was approached in 2021 to become Deputy Head before later taking over the reins as Head of the Kindergarten.
She graduated from Charles University in Prague with a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sport Sciences. Afterwards she became a professional sportswoman, competing in track and field. Magdalena later moved to the UK, where she spent six years raising a family. She had two children of her own within a bilingual household, while furthering her studies, before returning to Prague in 2010. Her many years living abroad and her competing at the highest level of sports means Magda is perfectly equipped to apply her experience within an International Kindergarten. Along with helping the children with their English, she has also introduced a host of new physical activities, including adapting a system of Tai-chi combined with art that smaller children can enjoy. Magdalena also plays piano and frequently shares her love of music with her classes.
