Pádraic Fahy joined Bassett House School as Headmaster in September 2026, having previously been Headmaster of Alpha Preparatory School in Harrow.
After completing his double honours Bachelor of Arts degree (English and German) from the University of Ireland, Maynooth, Pádraic moved to the UK and completed his PGCE with Canterbury Christ Church University.
In his 25 years as an educator, Pádraic has gained a wealth of educational knowledge and experience from Early Years to A-level, teaching in secondary state schools and joining the Prep school sector twenty years ago. Pádraic has held numerous key leadership positions from Head of the English Department, Assistant Head, Deputy Head to Headship.
As an experienced, motivated and ambitious educator and leader who is passionate about education and passionate about the development of young lives, Pádraic is a firm believer that all children should be given the opportunity to maximise their true potential wherever their talents and abilities may lie, and that all staff should be supported, guided and encouraged to facilitate this end and to instil in their students an ongoing excitement for learning.
