As you enter the doors of NHP, there is something uniquely special about the place. The school’s ethos of ‘academic rigour + the joy of childhood’ is embedded within everything it does – a balancing act that is fiercely protected by the staff and celebrated by the parents.

Whilst there is a real sense of academic focus as the children are challenged by specialist subject teaching, there is also joy to be had in learning and their experiences of school life.

The only advanced accredited prep Thinking School currently in England, the NHP approach to learning enables teachers, pupils and parents to have a deep understanding of how to learn and think effectively to prepare them for future life. Pupils are nurtured and encouraged to have a go, to celebrate marvellous mistakes and to think creatively and outside the box.A hub of creativity, music and the performing arts are the cornerstones of NHP life.  With music, drama and P4C being taught from Reception to Year 8, the children develop their self-confidence, collaborate creatively and reflect on work that they and their peers have produced.

Pastoral Care is intertwined across every aspect of school life. We have a comprehensive well-being programme which timetables pastoral activities into the school day to safeguard the children’s mental health and preserve the joy of childhood. The school has built strong links with some of the UK’s top senior schools both in London and further afield and places great emphasis on finding the right next school where each child will thrive and flourish.

Radnor House Prep School is a new independent co-educational day school, opening in September 2023.  The school will educate and inspire girls and boys from ages 2-11, with four main entry points in Nursery, Reception, Year 3 and Year 5. The school will enjoy a stunning location on the banks of the River Thames in Twickenham, which is currently home to Radnor House Twickenham senior school.

Life at Radnor House will be shaped by the school’s commitment to providing an active learning environment for limitless minds.
