Our approach to curriculum makes standards come alive for students by connecting learning to real-world issues and needs. Verita ensures that all students meet rigorous curriculum objectives and standards while in parallel providing exciting learning opportunities. Units of learning, real-life case studies, projects, fieldwork, and service-learning inspire students to think and work as professionals do, contributing high-quality work that is presented to audiences beyond the classroom.

We believe that through enquiry, active learning, and the development of emotional intelligence in a safe environment, all students are capable of mastery of knowledge, skills and understanding.

We feel it’s vital that students see and value learning as a dynamic process where they are constantly making connections and moving on to the next step. If students are challenged by the next step and empowered to set realistic goals, they will continue to move on with greater enthusiasm and wonder.

We also understand that we as adults teach them by modelling these values. Therefore, we focus not only on the professional but also personal development of our staff as ultimately, we teach who we are.

Our teachers and staff are like a second family for our students. We share the same home, which is our campus, and for many hours a day, we come together striving to best serve our children. And just as in any family, how we show up matters. We take care of our students also by taking care of our teachers and staff. Their wellbeing is an indicator of how well we can teach our students.

From Mr. Doru, our guard who is always smiling at the entrance gate, to our kitchen and cleaning staff and all our teachers and teaching assistants, feeling safe, seen and heard is a priority. Having a sense of belonging and knowing there is always someone here to reach out to if you need any kind of support is intentional and a constant focus and effort in the Senior Leadership Team.
